Etquette

In Company Shocked at a Lady Getting up to Ring the Bell (1805) James Gillray caricatured "A widow and her suitors, who seem to have forgot their manners in the intensity of their admiration."[1]
Etiquette (/ˈɛtɪˌkɛt/ or /ˈɛtɪkɪt/French: [e.ti.kɛt]) is a code of behavior that delineates expectations for social behavior according to contemporary conventionalnorms within a societysocial class, or group.
The French word étiquette, literally signifying a tag or label, was used in a modern sense in English around 1750.[2] Etiquette has changed and evolved over the years.
